Gateway Canyons is located in Gateway, CO in the beautiful red rock canyon country south of Grand Junction. Weather typically 90F this time of year and almost ALWAYS sunny! Hotel, Restaurant, Shopping, Auto Museum, Outdoor Activities, Horseback Riding, Fly Fishing, Mt. Biking, Hiking, and much more!

The race is on dirt the entire way except for the last ½ mile of pavement. Red rock scenery, desert river riparian areas. Wingate sandstone cliffs.

5k Course
Two laps around the resort on dirt trails and pavement. Great for spectators.

Half-Marathon Course
Begins at Gateway Canyons Resort. Heads down a dirt county road for approximately 6.5 miles before crossing the Dolores River . River depth is knee to waist deep. Racers will have the option to have dry clothes transported to the pre or post river crossing. A rope will be stretched across the river to assist the crossing. After the river, runners will continue down the opposite side of the river back to Gateway and finish at the start.
