Why is the zipper on the wrong side of my MENS ski jacket?
I just received a DNA Descente ski jacket and the zipper is on the opposite side like a womens jacket but the tag says "men". Any ideas?
It is the DNA model for freeriding/snowboarding, not the typical "yuppy" jacket. the DNA Moe jacket. I may just call the manufacturer.

Traditionally, women's buttons were on the opposite side because they had someone else, (presumably right-handed), dressing them... a hand-maid. Said person would be facing the wearer, thus making it easier for them to work the buttons. This has continued on into the invention of the zipper. I don't know why. I have found that some of my son's jackets specifically designed for boys are set up the same way, probably because he is 3 and I still have to zip him up. That being said, you got a Descente jacket, a notoriously yuppy, richie type jacket. They probably want you to feel elite or even assume you hire someone to dress you.
